A Study Of Marine Culture In JiaoDong

The argument of Chinese marine culture's features is a point of hot debate during the Chinese marine culture research.Proponents of Agriculture believed that Chinese marine culture was a kind of subculture which attached to Chinese cultivation culture.Proponents of independence pointed out Chinese marine culture was a self-contained culture beyond Chinese cultivation culture.However,this argument had four misunderstandings that made the argument meaningless.The misunderstandings included the lack of focus of argument and systematical area researches,and ignoring the differences among the marine areas and the basic function of fisheries culture.Therefore,this article tries to reply to the focuses of argument of Chinese marine culture's features based on ecological function and culture type by the method of literature,survey and interview.This article chooses the marine culture of Jiaodong area as a sample of regional marine culture to explore its internal consistency compared with Chinese cultivation culture.The first chapter of this paper discusses status of the disputes of China's marine culture researches.The second chapter has defined the concept of marine culture based on ecological function.It has divided marine culture into fisheries culture and maritime culture two kinds of subculture that would be the body of marine culture research.It makes sure that the standard of regional marine culture would be independent of cultivation culture or not is the spiritual aspect of marine culture whether surrender to cultivation culture.The third chapter mainly study the spiritual aspect of marine culture of Jiaodong area.It tries to prove the internal consistency of spiritual aspect of Jiaodong marine culture and the cultivation culture by exploring the cultivation characteristics of Jiaodong marine culture through taboo culture,sea offering festivals,sea gods beliefs and other spiritual levels.The fourth chapter discusses richness and specificity of the marine culture of Jiaodong area by exploring the fishermen and ship merchants' behaviors,modes of production and dwelling.The last chapter explores the reasons of the cultivation characteristics of Jiaodong marine culture and then discusses the features of Chinese marine culture.
