Saline-alkali land is a typical type of fragile ecosystem-type which is affected by natural and intensive artificial disturbance.The saline soil is widely distributed in China and the"Beijing-Tianj in-Hebei" region is one of the strongest areas affected by the salt-alkalization of soil.Tianjin Binhai New Area has become the State-level new area with the Government's Primary Support for the development and opening,Sinee its establishment in 1994.It is the first free trade zone in the north of China.Vegetation restoration in saline-alkali land has become one of the important factors that restrict the sustainable development of Binhai New Area With the development,opening and urbanization process of there.It is very necessary to study how to effectively develop and utilize saline-alkali soil resources for vegetation restoration.In this paper,the object of the typical coastal saline-alkali region and comprehensive use of the"3S" technology and combined with the related technology and theory of ecological science,The information on the type of land use and the coverage of the vegetation were obtained by using the high image and the external sampling as the data source.The land suitability of the study area was evaluated by multiple factors,and the afforestation potential of the study area was analyzed and the strategy of vegetation restoration was put forward.The main conclusions are as follows:(1)Tianjin Binhai New Area has more construction land and lower vegetation coverage,the most widely distributed saline alkali land,the second is severe saline alkali land and the last is light saline alkali land.(2)The evaluation of land suitability in study area is divided into four levels,which are highly suitable,moderately suitable,basically suitable and generally unsuitable.The areas with low suitability level occupy a large area and there is no highly suitable area.(3)According to the Chinese halophyte(1999)compiled by Zhao Kefu and Li Faceng,the classification of salt tolerant plants and the range of soil salinity suitable for planting are also discussed.Generally speaking,it is difficult to build vegetation in general.It is feasible to plant strong saline alkali plants after the improvement of saline alkali land.
