With the continuous growth of China's population, the area of cultivated land per capita is continuously decreasing. The problem of per capita arable land area and population growth is becoming more and more serious.Solving the problem of per capita arable land is an important topic facing our country and even the world.Saline-alkali land,as one of the important land resources, its improvement and utilization has become an important measure to ensure that the "red line" of cultivated land in China is not broken,to ensure food production and to realize the sustainable development of agriculture in China.Because the soil contains a large amount of saline-alkali components and undesirable chemicals, the growth of plants is inhibited. There are about 950 million hectares of saline-alkali land in the world,of which 100 million hectares are in China. The prospect of soil improvement projects is very broad and of great social significance. At present,saline-alkali land in most parts of the world is only improved and treated by a single method. The effect of using a single improvement method is not ideal, and the maintenance time is short. It is difficult to realize the improvement of ecological environment and sustainable development of saline-alkali land, and cannot fundamentally solve the problem of soil salinization.Due to the complexity of saline-alkali land management and later maintenance,saline-alkali land improvement must develop from a single way to a comprehensive improvement system. This paper makes targeted design and research from the problems encountered in the process of saline-alkali land improvement in M region:single improvement method, nonstandard engineering improvement construction, lack of planting experience and systematic management in biological improvement, lack of maintenance management in the later period of construction, etc. And through literature research to understand the current situation of saline-alkali land improvement at home and abroad, through on-the-spot investigation to understand the history and causes of saline-alkali land formation in M region,to collect relevant types of saline-alkali land improvement programs to sum up experience, and to explore more scientific comprehensive improvement methods of saline-alkali land.Through the research and construction of the technical difficulties of underground pipe salt drainage by engineering improvement method, the construction of the whole process management system of biological improvement rice planting, the application of agricultural Internet of Things technology in the comprehensive improvement system, the construction of the project implementation management and later maintenance system, the overall planning, design and construction of the comprehensive improvement project of saline-alkali land in M area are carried out and the benefit analysis of the project scheme is carried out. After the implementation of the project plan, the changes of soil composition and economic crop indexes were recorded and analyzed to verify the effect of the comprehensive improvement plan for saline-alkali land in M area.Through the discovery of problems, research and solution of problems, establishment and implementation of schemes, and evaluation of scheme effects,a set of comprehensive improvement management system for saline-alkali land combining engineering improvement, biological improvement and Internet of Things technology is established.Through the research in this paper,we hope to provide a new demonstration and attempt for the comprehensive improvement of saline-alkali land, and put forward effective solutions to the current situation of saline-alkali land management and increasing shortage of water and soil resources.
