Baicheng City is located in the western part of Jilin Province,with diverse landforms,water shortage and ecological imbalance.Groundwater utilization accounts for 55.9%of total water use in the Baicheng City.In the process of utilization,there are also many questions,such as:over-exploitation of groundwater and formation of 2 levels of over-exploitation area,serious groundwater pollution,weak sewage treatment capacity,low water use efficiency,and serious imbalance of wetland ecology.Therefore,it is urgent to study the scheme of groundwater protection in Baicheng City.Through the collection and arrangement of natural geography,hydrogeology and socio-economic data of Baicheng City,this paper defines the current situation of groundwater resources in Baicheng City.Using existing data,it can be calculated that the average annual groundwater resources of Baicheng City is 2.174 billion m~3 and the recoverable amount is 1.59 billion m~3.The replenishment amount is 2.218 billion m~3 and the excretion amount is 2.287 billion m~3.A comprehensive evaluation of groundwater quality was carried out using a single-index evaluation method.The results showed that the overall level of groundwater quality was poor.In order to more accurately determine the direction of water quality control,this paper conducted pollution assessment based on single-index evaluation,factor analysis method to find the main pollution factors in each region,and analyzed the sources of each major pollution.This paper mainly uses the combination of engineering measures and non-engineering measures to design groundwater quality protection programs.Engineering measures aspect,mainly uses new water conservancy projects and other water-saving projects to protect groundwater resources.A new small barrage dam should be built,a 45.22 km diversion canal system should be added,and a new50-hole recharge well and ten seepage pits should be built.The channel anti-seepage should be designed in the existing irrigation area,and a new water-saving irrigation project should be built.The above projects improve the groundwater level and over-exploitation by increasing the amount of surface water used and groundwater recharge to achieve the purpose of groundwater protection.According to the needs of groundwater protection in Baicheng City,the main non-engineering protection schemes include:establishing a drinking water source protection area with a total area of 17.253km~2.In 2030,460 backup water sources should be built to ensure the safety of people's production and life and to help the smooth progress of groundwater protection.Expansion of the sewage treatment plant in Taobei District and should establish 257 new small water treatment stations.Taking2016 as the current year,the industrial water consumption and industrial gross product in 2020 are predicted,and the water saving amount of industrial water is calculated to be 71816,600 m~3,and the potential of water saving is analyzed.Based on the current year of agricultural water use,the groundwater saving amount is predicted to be 209million m~3 in 2020.In agriculture,the vertical pollution of farmland should be reduced by reducing the use of fertilizers and pesticides,so as to reduce the pollution of groundwater quality.The over-exploitation area is based on the recharge project and the compression mining scheme,and it is basically not over-exploited in 2025.
