The traditional courtyard dwelling house are the most widely used types of traditional residential buildings in China,and courtyard space is the most important spatial prototype in the composition of residential buildings.It is more prominent in adapting to regional climate conditions.In recent years,great changes have taken place in the shape of the courtyard and its construction materials in the modern transformation of residential quarters.Therefore,the ability of new dwellings to cope with natural climate is gradually deteriorating.Some studies have begun to analyze the ecological experience of traditional dwelling houses from a technical perspective,but there is still a lack of specific quantitative research on the design of new residential dwellings.The Erhai Rim region is a well-known tourist destination in China.The transformation of residential areas precedes the same type of area and the development is changing rapidly,and contradictions are more prominent.The development trend of settlements is representative of the evolution of tourism destinations.Therefore,in this study,based on the courtyard space of Xinminju in the Erhai Rim region,a quantitative study of climate-adaptive design was conducted.First of all,according to the characteristics of the natural climate in the Erhai Rim region,this paper analyze the types of courtyard houses,sums up the changes in the distribution,form and material application of new dwellings.Second,according to the architectural climate design strategy and the impact on human comfort The main factors determine that the ventilation conditions of the courtyard have a more prominent impact on the climate adaptability of residential areas.Therefore,in this paper,ventilation conditions are taken as the entry point,aiming at the problem of climate degradation of the courtyard of the new dwelling houses,the ecological experience of the traditional dwelling courtyard space to cope with climate is summarized,and Air-pak ventilation simulation software is used to perform the space wind environment of the dwellings of the new residential dwellings.Quantitative analysis to explore the optimal design strategy for the space layout of new residential dwellings.The main achievements are:(1)Through the wind environment simulation of the fifteen kinds of positional relationships in the building,it is determined that the layout of the courtyard located in the eastern side of the residential area in the Bohai Rim area is conducive to the organizational ventilation of the building.(2)On this basis,the wind environment simulation was conducted for the yard space surrounding the change of courtyard interface height and plane scale,and the main factors affecting the courtyard wind environment were proposed.(3)To further optimize the layout of courtyards that are not conducive to natural ventilation,and to propose an optimal design strategy for the natural ventilation of courtyard space.Finally,the preservation and application of traditional courtyard space-enveloping interface construction materials in modern architecture is discussed to improve the climate adaptability of new residential buildings under the modernization construction.
