For the data display which adopt 2D visualization technology in the current ground meteorological observation data analysis service system,resulting in the effect is difficult to meet the ever-increasing user experience requirements for meteorological services and meteorological service products.In order to better reflect the connotation of wisdom weather,the paper has a comprehensive study on the 3d visualization technology based on WebGIS,combined with the higher demand of the current meteorological operations and services to visualization,and the rapid development of 3D visualization technology.In response to the demand for ground meteorological observation data analysis services,the models,key technology and 3d visualization of meteorological element scalar data,meteorological element contours,and choroplethic map are systematically researched and implemented in the development of a ground-based meteorological observation data analysis service system based on the WebGIS technology of 3D visualization.The developed system with 3D visualization effect can provide intuitive 3D data representation for the ground weather observation data analysis service,which are able to help meteorological personnel improve the efficiency when analyzing data and well meet the visualization demand of meteorological service and the vast number of users using meteorological products.The main research contents and innovation points of this paper are as follows:1)The analysis and research of 3D visualization technology.The paper has systematically analyzed and researched the realization scheme and implementation technology of 3D visualization based on WebGIS.2)The research on 3D visualization model of meteorological elements.According to the discrete distribution and its spatio-temporal characteristics of ground meteorological observation data,as well as the 3D needs of data in the ground meteorological observation data analysis service system,this paper studied the 3D visualization display model of meteorological element scalar data,meteorological element contours,and choroplethic map based on WebGIS technology of 3D visualization.3)The research on key technologies of 3D visualization of meteorological elements.Based on the 3D visualization model of meteorological elements,the paper has studied in detail the method of 3D visualization of meteorological element scalar data,contours and choroplethic map using WebGIS 3D visualization technology.4)Implement 3D visualization of data in ground weather observation data analysis service system.In view of the analysis and service needs of data from 91 national ground observation stations in Jiangxi Province,besides displaying the data of the system in the traditional way,the system was also implement the 3D visualization of the data in a query or statistical result based on the key technology of 3D visualization of meteorological elements.5)The preliminary research and implement of 3D visualization of meteorological elements.In order to be more intuitive and image to express the dynamic changes of the meteorological elements,on the basis of the implement of 3D visualization of ground meteorological observation data in the form of points,lines,and surfaces,the paper has integrated the previous research foundation,then designed and implemented a dynamic 3D visualization process for the time series data in the surface meteorological observation data.After being implemented and tested in the application system,it can better reflect the changing trends and the regular of data.The ground meteorological observation data analysis service system can effectively perform retrieval statistical analysis results in a 3D visualization,rich and intuitive results on the disastrous weather such as temperature,wind,precipitation,etc.,which provides a useful foundational support for the analysis statistics of meteorological professionals,meteorological products serving social and smart weather.
