With more citizens participating in sport activity,it gradually turns into an indispensable part of public ' s daily life.Although the government has been putting tremendous effort into developing infrastructure, lack of community sports facilities, tight schedule and high time cost,to some extent, are issues that citizens currently struggle with. Therefore,it has been a hot topic that if there is a true relationship between the degree of participancy that citizens join sports and the accessibility to community sports facilities.Researchers has been focusing on how to improve the accessibility to sports facilities to better serve public, which appears to be one major approach to understand where we currently stand on public sports service ability.Based upon above knowledge, taking Western Hangzhou as study target, focusing on two objects, analyzing factors, such as attraction from facility location, accessibility to public transportation, public participancy, that would possibly affect the accessibility to community sports facilities by taking advantage of literature, survey, data mining, spatial analyst and discussion on concepts. And accessibility model will also be built for further study.Additionally, developing community sports facilities database(data including roads network, community allocation, community sports facility allocation)and social attributes database(data including social attributes of citizens, usage frequency, satisfaction and expectation on sports facility)will be critical in analysis of spatial accessibility, public transportation accessibility, accessibility to facilities, existing issues and the root causes.Lastly, practical solutions to improve accessibility to community sports facilities will also be provided.
