Technique Of City Transportation Accessibility Analysis Under Multi Travel Aims Based On GIS

It is a long time since potential model has been lead into civic geography and applied to the research on problems of city transportation. However, all of these researches are limited in theoretical studies, and some models are too complex to put into practice. In the past, the researches on transportation accessibility literature were mostly based on qualitative analysis, and the models aimed at a specific object, which made it difficult to get generality. Based on studies of the literatures on potential model and transportation accessibility, this paper has made some improvements on the potential model. A new applicable method has been put forward and applied in transportation accessibility research. Moreover, the calculation of transportation accessibility based on GIS(Geographical Information System) is firstly applied in this paper, breaking the limitation in theoretical studies in the passed years. Therefore, transportation accessibility can be used to guide city planning. The research in this paper has applied the national key technologies R&D program in the period of 10th five-year plan—Assistant Decision-making Support System for City Planning This paper has six chapters. The first three chapters are theoretical. The fourth and fifth belong to applicable research, the last chapter concludes in the end. The all chapters have a brief introduction. The first chapter introduces the concept, compose and function of GIS, and the shape-taking &development, main character and frame-system of Urban GIS, emphasizing on the base of this subject—GIS platform and SuperMap Objects component development platform of SUPERMAP company. The second chapter presents the progress gained on transportation accessibility research. Chapter three is the historic introduction of the potential model into civic geography. The cases of potential model and it's application are also displayed in this chapter . It improves the potential model and suggests a new method of its application. The fourth one shows application cases. It presents some practical cases of potential model applying to transportation accessibility research, from which proposes measures to analyzing and improving transportation problems in suburban areas. Chapter five, as a comparative research, studies transportation accessibility from travel range aspect, and poses research achievement which demonstrates the feasibility of applying potential model to transportation accessibility research from another respect.
