As an important world resource,oil and gas resources have attracted much attention,and a large amount of data will be generated during exploration and exploitation.For data analysts,using thematic maps as the final expression of data can intuitively reflect the various characteristics of the data,and how to quickly and easily customize the map of oil and gas resources online is a problem worthy of study.Based on the major project of Ministry of land and resources “Oil and gas resources information sharing and service platform”,this paper combines the core database of oil and gas,and the thematic application of cartography for resources of oil and gas,studies the customization technology of online oil and gas resource thematic map and its application.The main function of the "Online interactive oil and gas resource thematic map customization system" includes the use of the data in the core library to produce the related thematic maps of various types of oil and gas resources in all administrative regions and basins in China.The system is an embodiment of the application of Online Thematic Mapping in the field of oil and gas resources.Similarly,the application of the system in the oil and gas center makes the on-line oil and gas resources thematic map customization technology studied in this paper realize the transformation from theory to practice on the basis of the oil and gas resources thematic map customization system.At the same time,it laid the theoretical foundation for intelligent thematic mapping.The online customization of oil and gas resources thematic map is the core function module of the whole system.The realization of this function relies on online template-based drawing methods.The main achievements of the following four aspects are achieved:(1)Study of the visualization expression of the thematic map of oil and gas resources.The visual representation of thematic maps plays an important role in the design of templates,and the selection of representation methods needs to be closely linked to the characteristics of the thematic data.Clearing the relationship between the thematic map representation method and thematic data helps to select the most appropriate thematic map representation method.(2)Design of thematic mapping template structure for oil and gas resources.Summarizes the similarities between the different representation methods and the types of the geographic basemaps,and abstracts them into thematic mapping templates.It is used to parametrically describe the thematic maps of oil and gas resources,including map names,legends,and symbol styles.(3)Study of task flow-centered templating thematic mapping model.The thematic mapping process is decomposed into tasks,and the tasks are connected in series to form a task flow.Until the final task is completed,each step of the task has reversibility and caching.This model is applied to the customization process of thematic map,reducing unnecessary steps and improving the efficiency of mapping.(4)Design and implement of the prototype system.Using a template-based online mapping method,an on-line interactive oil and gas resource thematic map customization system was designed and implemented.The system was applied to the Oil and Gas Resources Strategic Research Center and has been playing a good effect,effectively reducing the burden on cartographers.In general,the online interactive oil and gas resource thematic map customization system,which is finally completed through the research of the above several aspects,is practical and practical.At the same time,the theoretical method of the research provides a certain way to support online thematic mapping.
