Thematic Map Data Processing And Mapping Components

Thematic map is the power way that analyzes and represents the data. It can provide the foundation of the decision for the consumer.On the base of the theory of the thematic map and technology, this paper divides the thematic mapping process into several parts and the results as follow: thematic data organization and management, the design of thematic data structure, the methods of thematic data hierarchy and classification, and thematic symbol making and the symbolization of thematic data. It details every parts of in order to realize the computer simulation of the process of thematic map making.In the process of software exploitation, programmers like using the technology of COM, because it can be expanded and maintained easily. The using of that technology can realize the industrialization of software exploration, and improve the production efficiency of software. On the ActiveX platform provided by Visual C++, using the 00 idea, the author encapsulate the parts of thematic map making.The thematic map making components are independent of exploitation language. Any software exploitation platform which sustains ActiveX, such as VB, VC++, Access, VFP, Delphi, PowerBuilder and so on, can use ActiveX. Finally, the paper introduces the application of the thematic map making components in VC++, in order to verify the validity and practicability of every component.
