This dissertation concentrated on the taxonomic study on the spiders of the family Salticidae(Arachnida:Aaneae)from Wuling Mountains,(Hunan,Hubei,Chongqing)Four parts are included.Part I introduced the methods and materials,the brief introduction to Wuling Mountains,the methods and materials,the research history of family Salticidae and its current taxonomic situation,morphological characteristics,economic value,which were based on the national and international documents,dissertation published.Part ? introduced the collecting information and distribution date of all species and is a detailed study of 114 species belonging to 45 genera.Collection information was given to all species.All new species were provided with the description of detail characters,the discussion of the differences between the new species and its related species,and the etymology.Part III summarized the results of taxonomy including discussions.14 new species are described and named as:Chinophry yinae sp.nov.;Habrocestum wulingensis sp.nov.;Irura wangi sp.nov.;Irura wulingensis sp.nov.;Laufeia bicrura sp.nov.;Phintella albaria sp.nov.;Phintella chongqingensis sp.nov.;Phintella pengi sp.nov.;Plexippoides sangzhiensis sp.nov.;Pseudicius elongatus sp.nov.;Pseudicius pulchellus sp.nov.;Thiania wulingensis sp.nov.;Yaginumaella bistorta sp.nov.;Yaginumaella hubeiensis sp.nov.;Yaginumaella sangzhiensis sp nov.The male of Synagelides longus Song&Chai,1992 is described for the first time?Finally,part IV contained 102 color photos of the habitus and oragans of all new species,which have not been recorded before in Wuling Mountains,and 37 point plots inked on ink jet plotter paper of the detailed morphological characters of the new species.
