Taxonomic Study On Spiders Of Linyphiidae From Wuling Mountains(Arachnida: Araneae)

Wuling Mountains are located in the hinterland of Chinese Central,bordering Hunan Province,Guizhou Province,Hubei Province and Chongqing Province.It spans 11 cities(states)and 71 counties with an area of 170000 km~2.It has a humid and warm climate,abundant vegetation,mainly mountains and hills,it provides a variety of habitat types for the survival of animals and plants,this is an ideal area for biodiversity research.In this paper,Spider specimen collected in recent five years are used to do classical taxonomy study of Linyphiidae spiders from the Wuling Mountains,in order to further improve the biodiversity database in this area.This article is divided into four parts.Part I:This part briefly introduces the domestic and foreign research history,system of classification,current situation of research in Wuling Mountains,morphological characteristics etc.of Linyphiidae.Part II:This part described 31 spider species,belonged 16 genera of Linyphiidae.It mainly includes the characteristics for each genus,morphological characteristics,measurement data and species identification characteristics for each species.Part?:The taxonomic results are given.In Linyphiidae,there are three new species:Bifurcia pisciscauda sp.nov.,Oedothorax pesudocollinus sp.nov.,Ummeliata tianpingensis sp.nov.;six new records of Wuling Mountains:Bathyphantes tongluensis,Neriene calozonata,Neriene macella,Shaanxinus rufus,Tapinopa guttata,Ummeliata feminea.We also analyzed the effect of altitude on the number and species distribution of Linyphiidae spiders.Part IV:We present the collecting information and the photos of whole body and external genitals to facilitate the identification of the species.
