Based on the previous research results and related literature,this paper carried out a systematic taxonomic study on the Phrurolithidae spiders collected from the wuling mountains in the laboratory from 2014 to 2019.Four parts are included:Part I deals with the general situation,morphological characteristics,classification status,economic significance,research materials and methods of the family Phrurolithidae at home and abroad.Part II is a detailed study of 41 species belonging 3 genera in Wuling mountain areas,among of which 22 species are new to science.Detailed collection information,geographical distribution and corresponding habitats were provided.22 new species are systematically described,etymologically analyzed and compared with closely related species.Part III summarized the taxonomic research results of the family Phrurolithidae in Wuling mountain areas.A total of 22 new species were identified: Otacilia lata sp.nov.,Otacilia palmata sp.nov.,Otacilia rulinensis sp.nov.,Otacilia serpentina sp.nov.,Otacilia sublata sp.nov.,Otacilia pseudotaiwanica sp.nov.,Otacilia yanggaoensis sp.nov.,Otacilia xiaoxiensis sp.nov.,Otacilia subxingdoushanensis sp.nov.,Otacilia ungulata sp.nov.,Otacilia xingdoushanensis sp.nov.,Otacilia acerosa sp.nov.,Otacilia badagongshansis sp.nov.,Otacilia clavata sp.nov.,Otacilia hupingshansis sp.nov.,Phrurolithus circinatus sp.nov.,Phrurolithus clavatus sp.nov.,Phrurolithus cucullatus sp.nov.,Phrurolithus involutus sp.nov.,Phrurolithus pseudosquamacus sp.nov.,Phrurolithus squamacus sp.nov.,Phrurolithus xingdoushanensis sp.nov..One new Chinese record genus,Phrurotimpus Chamberlin & Ivie,1935;One new combination,Phrurotimpus lasiolepis Fu,Chen & Zhang,2016 comb.nov..Part IV provides color photographs for all the new species and some of the known species and a map of all new species.the dot and line illustrations of external genital structures are provided for most of the new species.A total of 68 dot and line illustrations,159 color photos and 6 new species distribution maps are presented.
