Wuling Mountain located in the boundary of Hunan Province,Guizhou Province,Sichuan Province and Hubei Province.Area about 170000 km~2,include 11 states and 71counties.Subtropical monsoon climate and rich in biodiversity. In the late 1980s and early1990s,some scholars have been investigated biological diversity of Wuling mountain, but the early data were relatively insufficiently systematic and comprehensive due to times and conditions constraint.Spider specimen collected in recent three years are used to do classical taxonomy study of Tetragnathidae and Pholcidae spiders from the Wuling Mountain, aimed at update resource information and provide high resolution picture to improve this area biodiversity database and provide spider species identification picture. In this paper, one new record of China and six new records from Wuling Mountain are reported. This paper included four parts:Part I based on the databases, the consult literature and academic monographs, make a brief introduction of biodiversity in Wuling Mountain, especially spider species diversity.Describe the general information of the family Tetragnathidae and Pholcidae, system of classification, morphological characters, living habit and economic significance.Part II described 23 spider species:17 Tetragnathidae species belonging 5 genera and 6Pholcidae species belonging 3 genera.Provide each species morphological descriptions, illustrations and geography data, comparison the similar species identification character.Part III included taxonomic results and discussion.Last,we present the photos of whole body, external genitals.
