A Research On Competitiveness Promotion Of Equipment Manufacturing Industry In Dongying

Equipment manufacturing industry is the foundation and core of industry,which provides technology and equipment for the development of national economy.Equipment manufacturing industry determines the degree of industrialization of a country’s development,and the degree of a country’s industrialization has a direct influence on the level of economic development.Equipment manufacturing industry is a manifestation of the economic development,what’s more,it reflects a country’s competitiveness.The development of equipment manufacturing industry can provide a strong impetus for the development of the primary,secondary and tertiary industries.In this paper,five aspects,the factor conditions,demand conditions,business strategy,structure and competition,associated support industries,government and opportunity,are used to analyze problems of equipment manufacturing industry in Dongying City.Thereby,point out the main problems exist at present.Meanwhile,the revealed comparative advantage method is conducted to analyze the industrial competitiveness between seven sub-sectors,selecting the comparative advantage sub-sector.Select 17 cities in Shandong Province to compare with Dongying in major economic indicators.Special equipment manufacturing,transportation equipment manufacturing,fabricated metal products,general equipment manufacturing industry are selected as priority development sectors by considering the conclusions of the two methods.Finally,the Equipment Manufacturing Competitiveness Programme is proposed,based on objective analysis of the equipment manufacturing industry situations and market outlook.
