The Influence Of Hierarchical Division Of Producer Services On The Efficency Of Manufacturing Industry

The producer service industry is a kind of industry developed to serve the manufacturing industry better,and its role as a “booster” in the process of high-end manufacturing is becoming more and more obvious.The layout of productive service industry has close relationship with the city’s grade,that is,the high-end producer service industry often appears in the big cities,while the middle and low-end producer service industry’s distribution is more in the small and medium-sized cities.In fact,this distribution based on the city level on the one hand promotes the productive efficiency of the service sector itself,on the other hand also greatly enhances the efficiency of the manufacturing sector.Based on the theory of classical division of labor and the theory of new economic geography,this paper uses the analytical method combining theory and practice to clarify the mechanism of the division of productive service industry logically,and discusses the effect of division of productive service industry on efficiency of manufacturing industry And measure the degree of influence by using spatial measurement method.First of all,this paper introduces the domestic and foreign research on the status of industrial division of labor,finds that the producer services and manufacturing industry has a non-negligible link.Then,it clarifies the mechanism of the division of productive services from four aspects: talent and knowledge,market capacity,information resources and institutional factors.It is found that the productive service enterprises get the learning effect,the competition effect and the human resources in the process of hierarchical division of labor This not only improves the efficiency of producer services,but also reduces the cost of search services in manufacturing industry and improves the specialization of services,so as to improve the efficiency of manufacturing industry.On the basis of theoretical analysis,this paper discusses the effect of producer service level division on manufacturing efficiency in 26 cities of China Yangtze River Delta from 2003 to 2014 by using spatial econometric analysis.The empirical results show that there is a significant spatial spillover effect on the division of productive services,and the spatial spillover coefficient has passed the significance test.That is to say,the division of labor service industry level can promote the efficiency of manufacturing within the city,but also promote the efficiency of the surrounding cities through space spillover.Finally,this paper draws the following conclusions: the productive service industry level of division of labor directly manifested as the geospatial gathering of producer services,in other words,high-end production service industry layout in developed cities,low-end producer services are distributed in small cities;The spillover effect of the hierarchical division of productive service industry on productive efficiency of manufacturing industry in our country is spatial spillover effect.
