Study On The Application Of Risk Management In Overseas Exhibiton Projects

As an important way to promote economic development,exhibition activities,with the increasingly frequent international exchanges and the acceleration of economic globalization,have attracted a mushrooming number of attention all over the world today.Overseas exhibition is recognized as the most effective international trade activities,an increasing number of enterprises go abroad,and more and more government policy support is input to the overseas exhibition.The exhibition activities will be affected by many uncertainties,so that the exhibition activities can not achieve the desired goal.Problems such as low efficiency,quality problems,scheduling problems,potential and legal risks will appear because of the lack of exhibition project management and scientific basis and guidance.How to manage and control the risks of exhibition projects,enhance the overseas exhibition service quality and efficiency,has become an urgent problem.This paper stands in the government pavilion organization in overseas exhibition,combined with the characteristics of overseas exhibition and risk management situation,starts from the general rule of project management,takes basis theory of life cycle,organization structure,WBS to carry out the project risk planning,identification,analysis and control strategies,and research of the risk management of overseas exhibition systematically.Initially,the paper expounds the related theories of project management,project risk management and research status at home and abroad.Then it discusses the risk characteristics of overseas exhibition projects and the existing risk management problems,and introduces the characteristics of the management mode of the exhibition project in Shenzhen.Furthermore,it takes Shenzhen CeBIT delegation as an example,analyzes the overseas exhibition life cycle,organization structure,WBS and schedule,so as to be the basis and foundation of risk management.Additionally,it introduces the risk planning,identification and analysis application in the overseas exhibition organization project,using the risk manage method and tools,such as planning meeting for the risk planning,brainstorming and risk list for identification,qualitative and quantitative analysis for risk ranking and the introduces how to use these tools to make plans for dealing with the key risks,and how to control risks for the whole life cycle.Finally,it summarizes and prospects project management in overseas exhibition organization in the future.
