| University canteen is a special part of catering industry,considering its special management goals on both price control and quality control.Guaranteeing the food that the university canteens provide is fairly priced and quality is important to protect university’s employees’ and students’ interests and maintain the university’s stability and harmonization.Guided by logistics system planning and design theory and methods,the establishing of a university food distribution center which concentrates on improving food materials’ logistics process and delivery modes is helpful for enhancing the internal supervision,improving the food materials turnover and reducing the food materials costs of university canteens.On this basis,university canteens shall achieve their management objectives on both price control and quality control.This thesis chooses the DB University as its analysis object.The site-selection and layout design of the food distribution center of DB University is based on both the logistics system planning and design theory and methods and the distribution site-selection and systematic layout planning(SLP)theory and methods,targeting on the current status and problems of the food storage of the university’s separated food materials warehouses.The main contents of this paper include:(1)The background and analysis of the establishment of the food distribution center for DB University.In this part of the thesis,by elaborating the problems of the current food logistics process and delivery modes of the DB University,the necessity of the establishment of the food distribution center is proved.And the feasibility analysis of the food distribution center clarifies the overall planning and design of the food distribution center.(2)Provides site-selection scheme of the food distribution center of the DB University.Under the premise of analyzing the management goal,general principles and influencing factors of the food distribution center,the site-selection scheme is provided,based on qualitative analysis methods such as the advantages and disadvantages comparative method and the Delphi method as well as quantitative analysis method such as Analytic Hierarchy Process(AHP).(3)Provides the layout scheme of the food distribution center of the DB University.Under the premise of analyzing the general elements and process system of the food distribution center of the DB University based on the SLP methods,the layout scheme is made embarking from elements analysis,demand prediction,logistic correlation analysis,activity correlation analysis and comprehensive interrelation analysis.The scheme of the layout of the food distribution center of the DB University this thesis provided is not only for improving university canteens’ efficiency,reducing the costs of food materials delivery and protecting the interests of the university’s employees and students.Furthermore,the scheme this thesis provided is also useful for reference to other universities on layout their food distribution center. |
