Fireworks has always been used during our festivals and celebrations. However, with fireworks giving us a lot of joy, the security issues which during its production, operation, storage and transportation are exposed increasingly prominent at the same time. Recently, in order to rectify and standardize this industry, the government made a series of policy adjustments towards the production of fireworks, and the result is that the northeast three provinces will gradually exit the production market. For the reason that the demand is entirely dependent on the other areas, an in-depth study on site selection of fireworks’ logistics distribution center, which take the northeast three provinces for example, has important theoretical significance and application value.Based on logistics, safety evaluation and operational research, this paper makes a theoretical research and case analysis on the principles, processes, influencing factors and models of site selection, especially about the fireworks’ logistics distribution center. In this paper, the main contents as follows: firstly, on the basis of stating some related knowledge of fireworks and siting selection, it makes an analysis about the research methods of site selection of the general cargo’s distribution center, and summarizes the influencing factors of the fireworks’ site selection issues considering its properties; then, it sets up a site selection model of fireworks’ logistics distribution center, with the goal of minimizing the total of cost and risk, based on quantifying the influencing factors reasonably; finally, on the basis of the northeast three provinces’ actual data, it solves the model which is divided into two different programs by LINGO and analyzes the results.The focus of this paper is chapter3and chapter4, which are about the establishment of model and the solving of examples. This paper uses the quantitative research methods and takes into account the factors of both cost and risk, with unifying their dimensions by the transforming factor, and at last, the optimal siting results are acquired. This results insure a lower cost in building the distribution centers and transporting the fireworks on the basis of reducing the risk, so it has the importantly practical significance.
