Research On Government Regulation Of Food Safety In The City Of Hezhou

The The food safety is a major issue concerning the national economy and people's livelihood.The Party and government have always paid great attention to it and they formulated a series of related policies and regulations.In recent years,the exposure of melamine contained milk powder,illegal cooking oil,tainted ginger,cadmium rice and aflatoxin-excessive peanut oil,has broken people's expectations for basic food safety and triggered a public panic over food safety.The frequent occurrence of food safety incidents reflects that the food safety situation is still very serious,exposing many deficiencies in food safety regulation.Government regulation is also known as government control.Government regulation of food safety is actually the process of the government and its agencies regulating food safety.Located in the northeast of Guangxi,Hezhou is in the junction of Guangdong Province,Guangxi Province and Hunan Province.It is the production base of fruits,vegetables,high-quality tea,poultry,aquatic products and other products,supplying Hong Kong,Macao,Pan-Pearl River Delta Region and Southeast Asia with fruits,vegetables and meat.Hezhou's food industry is gradually developing owing to its unique geographical advantages and resource advantages.However,the problems of food safety rising during the development can not be ignored.The regulation of food safety in Hezhou not only affects Hezhou people's sense of trust in food safety,but also affects the harmony and stability of Hezhou.The writer did some research on the circumstances and problems of food safety rules in Hezhou under the guidance of the government regulation theory.It's proved by this research that there are five reasons for government regulation on food safety:the first is the limitation of regulatory resources,the second is the limitation of comprehensive coordination,the third is imperfection of the law system,the fourth is the lack of sense of safety and the pursuit of high profits,and the last is the weak awareness of social common sense.For these reasons of government regulation on food safety,the writer proposed countermeasures and suggestions from the perspectives of strengthening the standardization of regulatory agencies,increasing investment in regulatory resources,improving laws and regulations standard system,actively guiding the regulation of objects and creating a good social supervision environment and so on.
