Research On China's Export Value Added And Its Influencing Factors

With the rapid development of the international division of labor and trade,the globalization of production leading to a country's exports in the final product contains a large number of intermediate products,and continued growth in intermediate goods trade.In the practice of conventional international trade,with import and export value accounting methods to measure a country's trade scale,causing varying degrees of double counting,exaggerated the actual size of the trade.Therefore,it must be acknowledged that the essence of international trade has changed,and the new international accounting standards has become a necessity.Based on the world input-output theory,this paper used Trade in Value-Added(Ti VA)database to analyze domestic value added of China's exports,as well as the foreign value-added added and its national constitution and industry constitute,and then using 14 manufacturing subsectors as analysis object,using the panel model to have an empirical test on factors that influence China's export trade in value-added,and check the factors' impact on China's export trade in value-added,finally,according to the status quo and the empirical part of the study,draw conclusions and make corresponding countermeasures:(1)Through literature review,it is found that the existing researches are to use comparative analysis,focus on the macro perspective of the value-added of traditional customs frontier trade and the comparison of two kinds of accounting methods and the analysis of its international division of labor status change,it is concluded that the traditional trade way of accounting for China's actual trade gains exists distortion.(2)In the analysis of the status quo,the use of the added value of trade data in the database,using comparative analysis method,and the value-added of trade accounting methods to measure the added value of China's export trade and to analyze its structure,it is concluded that 1995-2011 years,China's export added value share in China showed a trend of declining after rising first;The destination distribution of domestic value-added of China's export is diversified,mainly given priority to developed countries,but developing countries and emerging economies export proportion is also increasing;Agricultural exports overall share of domestic value-added is high,and a manufacturing-based secondary industry's proportion of domestic value-added decreased significantly;The industry structure contained by the foreign value added added of China exports is mainly focused on manufacturing related industries,and there is a relationship of mutual contained between each other on their value-added.(3)In theempirical part,this paper uses 16 years unbalanced panel data to have an empirical analysis on the factors which influence the value-added of export trade in our country,it is concluded that R&D investment and labor compensation is the mainspring to improve domestic value-added of China's export trade.(4)In the part of policy recommendations,combining with the status quo and the results of empirical research,this paper puts forward the policies of increasing investment in innovation and R&D,strengthening the cultivation of high-skilled labor force,encouraging domestics enterprises and foreign-funded enterprises,and guiding enterprise to take the connotation-type development path.
