As the financial crisis and the global competition intensifies,Chinese manufacturing is faced with new challenges.To explore how Chinese manufacturing enterprises succeed in implementing service transition is the priority of Chinese manufacturing industry.Through combing predecessors' research,we can found that service innovation is the main purpose of the service transition of manufacturing enterprises and is also the best scale of service transition's result.However,existing research has failed to fully explore the mechanism of this process.Manufacturing enterprises need to further think how to implement service innovation through service transition strategy.Through case study,this paper analyzes how service transition strategy affects knowledge integration capability to promote the service innovation ability.By integrating service transition level variation characteristics and strategic management theory,this paper interprets service transition strategy for interaction of market orientation and entrepreneurship orientation.At the same time,the paper set up theory framework of relationship among service transition strategy and knowledge integration and service innovation.This paper selects two representative large manufacturing enterprises-Huawei and Shenyang machine tool which two are in sharp contrast.Through the descriptive study of double cases,this paper come to conclusion by using interviews and questionnaire survey and secondary data collection to summarize and validate theoretical model.The results show that:(1)Service transition strategy can promote the development of the enterprise knowledge integration capability,and the process further affect the formation of the service innovation ability;(2)Every stage of the service transition strategy to make new adjustment based on the development of previous stage,it is the turn of the spiral process;(3)In order to better serve the enterprise operation and management,enterprises under the service transition strategy absorb and utilize and integrate internal and external knowledge.The formation of knowledge integration capability exactly matches the transition of service strategy;(4)The service innovation ability under the guidance of service transition strategy not only identifies market opportunities,and seizing new service ideas under the help of knowledge integration and transform existing services so as to promote the development of transition.To sum up,hope that the research of this paper can provide theoretical basis for transition and practice guidance to upgrading of manufacturing enterprises.
