Performance Evaluation & Research Of Lean Value

Nowadays,wise consumers pay more attention to the inside value,product's value takes priority instead of low price in decision-making.The low-price leadership strategy is,therefore,no longer suitable to most of manufacturers.New challenges faced by producers in China could be summarized in two aspects:(1).With rising labor cost and economy slowing down,how to produce the high quality goods with reasonable cost;(2).How to evaluate and improve the value from consumer's perspective? The aim of the dissertation is to offer a reasonable resolution for the manufacturing companies,to control manufacturing cost and to make products with more values.The dissertation focus on lean-value theory and the application of DEA(Data Envelopment Analysis)methods in the manufacturing industry.The lean-value application integrates the merits of both the LP(Lean Production)and VA/VE(Value Analysis/Value Engineering)in product innovation and cost reduction.The lean-value implementation and evaluation covers the life-cycle of product,including PPI(Pre-Product Innovation),NPI(New Product Innovation)and CPI(Continues Product Innovation).The DEA method is utilized to analysis and evaluate the productivity in firms which implemented the lean-value theory.Case studies were performed and the results suggest that the positive correlation was held between the the financial performance of company and the capability of the lean-value.The result of the present study suggest that DEA can evaluate and improve the financial performance of those firms which implements lean-value exactly and objectively,and that as a key performance indicator of output productivity in today's firms,the application of DEA can also improve the applicability and practicability of the firms.Lean-value combines the competitive strategy with both low cost and differentiation,it can transform the company from struggling to survive to lasting growth.According to the two case in this study,the DEA performance evaluation of lean-value is a practical solution and better popularization values,and can be applied to more manufacturers facing similar problems.
