Research On The Development Of Pension Service Industry In Jilin Province

Since the 21 st century,with the development of economy,the improvement of living standard and the constant innovation as well as the advancement of medical and health conditions,China had stepped into the aging society in 2000.Our country's trend of aging population is ill-suited to the economy development level.As a result,there is such a phenomenon that people will grow old before they grow wealthy.Aging population is the inevitable outcome of social development.And population aging problems are always hot issues of our society.The aging population brings harsh challenges to social development.Meanwhile,we are supposed to recognize the chances it brings us.Jilin Province had entered aging society in 2003.With the deepening of an aging population,the demand for the elderly care will increase.This requires Jilin Province to accelerate the development of old-age service industry on the basis of provincial conditions in order to meet the demand of the old for the elderly care.This thesis will study the development of old-age service industry of Jilin Province in six parts.The first part is introduction,it mainly introduces the research background,research meaning,the literature review of both home and abroad,and the creative thinking as well as the studying method of this thesis.In part two,it generalizes related conceptions and theoretical foundations of old-age service industry,providing theoretical support.In the third part,it introduces current development situation and existing problems in old-age service industry.Jilin Province has accelerated the development of the elderly care and has made progress.However,there are still many problems to be solved.For instance,in the old-service market,supply is less than demand;the concern for the elderly care is not enough;government investment is small and social capital is hard to enter into this industry;the old-age service system is incomplete;professionals in this field are in shortage,and so on.In the fourth part,borrowing ideas from other regions and countries,it studies experiences of America,Britain,Japan,Shanghai,Hong Kong and Taiwan.Through this analysis,it gets a proper way for Jilin Province to develop its old-age service industry.In the fifth part,it is about the development strategies of Jilin Province old-age service industry.To better develop its old-age service industry,the government of Jilin Province should do the following things: The government should strengthen advocation for the elderly care to encourage more participation of the masses;The government should increase investment and subsidies,standardize market order and strengthen the supervision;The government should improve relevant laws and regulations,improve the elderly care and cultivate specialized people on the elderly care field;The government should also construct elderly care information platforms;etc.The last part is the conclusion of this thesis.
