In the 21 st Century,the tertiary sector,also called the service sector,is playing more and more important role in the global economy.With the development of economic globalization and demands of transportation efficiency,the transportation service industry is more and more important.Flight transportation is an advanced mode of transportation.And the airport service is closely related to the flight transportation.Thus,the airport service industry is highly focused by public.Customer demands towards the airport service are more diversified.The airport service is required to be in high standard,such as cleanliness,convenient,comfortable,hospitality,and user-friendly.The A Airport,as o ne of the three major international aviation hubs in China,is facing a great challenge in the competition of domestic airports.In order to satisfy the customer?s demands and take the opportunities,the A Airport needs to optimize the competitive strategy of service to improve the service quality,attract more passengers and win more market shares in airport industry,which is the purpose of this thesis for in-depth study of A Airport.The contents and thoughts of this thesis are as follows: firstly,it introduces the research background,purpose and significance of study on the competitive strategy of airport service industry.Secondly,the study is based on the clarification of conception,some relative theories and analytical methods in the research review.Thirdly,the status quo of airport service industry and the profile of A Airport are introduced,and the challenges faced by A Airport are presented.Fourthly,with the analytical tools of PEST,Five Forces and SWOT matrix,the external environment of airport service industry and A Airport are presented,and the internal environment of A Airport is specifically analyzed with some statistics and evidences.Through the internal analysis,the airport resources,capability,core competitiveness,threat and opportunity of A Airport are presented clearly.Finally,according to the above analysis,some improvement approaches are suggested accordingly..This thesis is about the study on competitive strategy of service for A airport.It is hoped that it will be valuable for the following in-depth study on the development of airport service strategy in the world.
