Research On Employment Of The Farm To City People In Ganjingzi District Of Dalian

In recent years, with the increasingly severe employment situation, that how to expand employment becomes a major and difficult task for the current and a long period of time in the future within the country. For farm to city people generated in the process of urbanization, promoting their employment has become an economic and social problem. Therefore, from the perspective of urbanization, that how to find out a method of promoting employment that can both adapt to the need of the social and economic development and the basic personal situation for farm to city people owns a realistic significance for them to blend in the new system of urban life smoothly, which pushes the accelerated process of the construction of urbanization and the national economic and social development forward.Ganjingzi District is located in the west and northwest of Dalian city, which is one of the four urban districts. Since 2003, with the continuous urbanization progress of Ganjingzi District, a large number of farm to city people is generated. According to preliminary statistics, about 30 percent of the farm to city people are unemployed. The problem of the contradiction between urban development and the difficult situation of unemployment is becoming more and more obvious, which lies in front of the local government.This paper describes the theory of employment both home and abroad, and discusses the basic connotation of urbanization. What's more, it analyzes farm to city people in the basis of current employment situation. Take Ganjingzi District as an example, with specific cases, we do an in-depth investigation of the employment problem in farm to city people through questionnaires, visits and other forms, intending to understand the living situation and appeals of the group and make a preliminary discussion about the employment security of farm to city people from views of theory and policy, hoping to improve their situation. Currently, employment problems such as low salaries, few ways in the acquisition of employment information, outdated concepts of employment and low stability of employments are found existing in farm to city people in Ganjingzi District, through on-site survey.Combining these problems and analyzing the in-depth reasons of the generation of them, targeting idea of solutions and suggestions are proposed: enhance the employment training, making vocational training programs according to the characteristics of people turning from farmers to urban residents, constructing a employment training mechanism of government-led and social participation; improve the construction of labor market system, establishing classified job files of people turning from farmers to urban residents; encourage them to be self-employed and provide good services for them; increase job opportunities, motivating enterprises to absorb local residents; protect the right of employment for people turning from farmers to urban residents, providing them with guidance of thought together with cultural concerns and so on.
