The drawbacks of the household contract responsibility system are becoming more and more obvious. Family farms have gradually become the new agricultural economic development mode. Of the production methods, the advantage is particularly prominent.Because of the scale of family farms, intensive management, mainly in family units,the efficiency is relatively high, easy to form large-scale, improve the economic efficiency of family farms and increase the income of farmers. Family farms are different from the previous household contract system, but a large-scale production mode of operation, this way out of the shackles of household contract responsibility system, showing strong vitality, in line with Jingmen City family farm development requirements, Will be a new model of agricultural development in Jingmen City.Although the development of Jingmen family farm has made certain achievements,but there are still some problems, such as small scale, high degree of operation, financial support is not large, the quality of farmers is not high and so on.In this paper, the status quo and problems of Jingmen family farm are taken as the research object. First, the meaning of family farm is fully understood through the present situation of family farms at home and abroad. Then,the family farm in Jinglin City is studied by field investigation. The development status quo and problems of Jingmen family farm, and then put forward some constructive countermeasures and opinions.
