Abstract/Summary:
Technological progress has played an important role in improving the quality of service,to combine with the change of network era and the demand from customers has become a new banking standard.In this situation,electronic banking occurs as the representative new business model and it makes bank transactions easier to be reached around the world.The business has been received fast from the start.From the beginning of development to today,it has become an extremely important part of banking financial services.In the increasing fierce market competition,the profit space of original banks which source of profit entirely relies on the difference between deposit and lending interest rate has been smaller under the impact of the financial tide in the Internet.It leads to increase pressure on the development and utilization of available new distribution channels with the help of new network technology.Electronic banking has attracted potential customers and promoted the formation of a series of transactions on the basis of reserving the traditional business while expanding the new Internet financial industry,the commercial bank’s operating profit is rising.The purpose of paper is to investigate how to use electronic banking business to improve performance of commercial banks more effectively,conducted DEA method to measure the relative efficiencies of 8 typical banks during the past 10 years,with electronic banking business as input variables.The results showed scores of commercial banks which are efficient with the rational allocation of electronic banking investment are better.We provide specific direction for commercial banks with the low efficiency to improve operational efficiency and find out the reasonable way to improve overall performance based on the electronic banking business after scientific and in-depth analysis of the link between new profit sources and the bank operation performance based on DEA evaluation,...
