Since the reform and opening up in the late 70 s of last century, chinese traditional agricultural management contains three main features:small-scale operation, decentralized management and land fragmentation because of household contract responsibility system and family separation system. However, with the acceleration of urbanization,a large number of young and middle-aged rural labor force migrates to urban and non-agricultural sectors. The contradiction between traditional agricultural production and increasing farmers' income has become increasingly prominent. The Third Plenary Session of the 18 th CPC Central Committee decided that contractual management right could be sold to managers, family farm and farmers' cooperative organization in the open market. This trade is encouraged. This paper, based on survey data of farmers in Ninghai County of Zhejiang Province, studied the different scale management benefits of grain farmers. The paper includes literature review, development process of land scale in Ninghai, economic benefitshe and influence factor of different land sizes. The main conclusions are as follows : First, there are still some problems in grain production in Ninghai area, such as insufficient utilization of agricultural land resources, low output per unit area and imperfect land transfer mechanism.Second, grain production efficiency in different scales is obviously different and the largest grain crops yield obtains the highest income.Thirdly, the income of grain management in different scales is related to the age, education, sale channels, investment and the investment in agricultural management.Acording to the research content and conclusion, the paper provides suggestions to improve the scale of land management and the income of farmers.
