Six Sigma is customer-centric,on the basis of data,pursuing almost perfect goal management philosophy.Its core is through a set of statistical analysis based on data,measurement problems,analysis of the reasons,improve the optimization,control effect,so that the enterprise operating capacity to achieve the best condition.Using strict tools and methods(DMAIC)to achieve Six Sigma management requirements continue to improve directly to the underlying causes of defects,awareness,improve the shortcomings of the improvement and the use of technical means of long-term control,so as to obtain more superior cost-effective,better quality,The need for high-quality products,the use of the least quality of resources to improve customer satisfaction,and the company to obtain the greatest economic benefits.Six Sigma Quality Management has been around for 30 years in all areas of the world,and there are a lot of success stories that can prove the effectiveness of Six Sigma management.Since the birth of the eighties in the last century since the Motorola company,Six Sigma has been gradually from the beginning of the technical terms into a problem-solving solution.Gil Barker Company(G company)in the tanker industry has more than 100 years of history,in the early 90 s of last century to enter the Chinese market,after ten years of development,production capacity continues to expand,the company is facing fierce competition,How to improve product quality and reduce component costs has become the main problem facing the company.This paper introduces the definition of Six Sigma and the development process of Six Sigma,which describes the definition of Six Sigma and the origin and development of Six Sigma.At the same time,it analyzes the main situation of G company and the current situation and the existing quality control problems,and analyzes the necessity of using the Six Sigma management of G Company.And to G company refueling pump body casting quality improvement,for example,the application of DMAIC tools to improve the surface quality of the tanker pump casting,in the implementation of the project definition of product defects ? verify the effectiveness of the measurement system ? analysis of bad reasons(to find out the impact Quality of the key factors)? to explore the solution ? to control the improvement to achieve project expectations.(FEMA),Minitab analysis software,DOE(complete factor test),regression equation,response surface and other related tools are implemented in the process by means of a variety of tools for research and improvement activities.Through these tools,based on the company's historical data,the optimization model is optimized to improve the surface quality defects of the refueling pump body casting,and at the same time reduce the single piece production cost.To achieve the company and customers,quality and efficiency of a win-win situation.The project has been successfully implemented,which provides a basis for the future improvement of the company's future application of Six Sigma management tools and the quality improvement of similar products.The Six Sigma quality improvement will ultimately prove the effectiveness and practicability of the Six Sigma method.
