The Empirical Research Of Construction Enterprise Safety Climate To Safety Behavior For Migrant Workers

With the economic development of China’s reform and opening up,China began a large-scale complex project.The construction personnel of the construction industry is generally low level of education of migrant workers,which leads to the safety accident rate rise in the construction industry,so to strengthen the safety behavior of migrant workers,reduce the accident rate,become the focus of the scholars.One of the research directions is the influence of enterprise safety climate on the safety behavior of migrant workers.The safe climate is the psychological perception of the individual in the organization,and is the cognition and evaluation of the degree of importance to the organization.In the mechanism of the safety climate to the safety behavior,the endogenous variable safety consciousness and the exogenous variable work environment safety level gradually cause the attention of scholars.Safety consciousness as a dimension of safety awareness of the individual,the existence of the intermediary role between safety climate and safety behavior of migrant workers;the level of safety work environment is the physical environment refers to an organization in the workplace,whether there is relationship between the regulatory role of safety climate and safety consciousness,improve the enterprise’s safety climate migrant workers,to enhance safety consciousness,safety level adjustment of the working environment,can improve the safety behavior of migrant workers,reduce the accident rate,it remains to be discussed and inspection.Therefore,this study aimed at the above problems,through reviewing and combing and summary of previous studies,the path model of intermediary role constructing enterprise safety climate-safety consciousness-safety behavior of migrant workers,and the moderating effect on the working environment safety level in enterprise safety climate and safety consciousness of migrant workers conducted exploratory analysis,put forward the theoretical model and research hypothesisIn this study,we use empirical research method to collect data.In the first step,a small sample of 96 migrant workers in several construction sites in Changchun was investigated to test the reliability and validity of the questionnaire.Second,to ensure the rationality of the questionnaire is based on the formal survey of 317 migrant workers in the construction industry,the use of SPSS19.0 for data processing and analysis,to test the hypothesis.The following conclusions are drawn:(1)The safety climate has a significant positive impact on migrant workers’ safety behavior.Specifically,the higher the corporate safety climate,the more likely to lead to the occurrence of safety behavior of migrant workers.(2)The safety consciousness plays a part of intermediary role between the safety climate of the enterprise and the safe behavior of peasant workers.According to social exchange theory and social cognitive theory,migrant workers perceived safety climate in enterprises,will improve their safety consciousness,in order to get more material and spiritual rewards and remuneration,caused more safety behavior,safety climate makes their consciousness,behavior and organization in reciprocal level.(3)The safety level of work environment negatively regulates the relationship between safety climate and safety consciousness.Specifically,the higher the level of work safety,the weaker the relationship between safety consciousness and s safety behavior.According to the theory of "man machine environment" of ergonomics,the working environment is too comfortable,it will paralyze the safety consciousness of individual,reduce the level of consciousness,and cause the occurrence of unsafe behavior.The theoretical significance of this study:(1)To verify the positive impact of enterprise safety climate and safety behavior of migrant workers.(2)To verify the mechanism of the safety climate and the safety behavior of migrant workers: safety consciousness plays a partial intermediary role in the relationship between the safety climate and the safety behavior of migrant workers.(3)To verify the moderating factors of the relationship between safety climate and safety consciousness: the level of work safety plays a negative role in the relationship.Based on the conclusions of this study,the following managerial implications are obtained:(1)Construction enterprises should strengthen the construction and cultivation of safety climate.Have complete safety regulations in the enterprise,the key is to improve the safety management attention and commitment to safety,improve the participation of migrant workers in safety affairs,to grass-roots employees to participate in safety meetings and improved safety process opportunities,common for enterprises to establish a more perfect safety system.(2)Construction enterprises to improve the safety consciousness of migrant workers.First,the enterprise shall establish a safety education and training mechanism,provide accurate and individualized training for migrant workers,to enhance the cognitive ability of the safety risks,the curing process of safety operation,strengthen the safety behavior.Second,enterprises should pay attention to those migrant workers poor safety consciousness,fully mobilize their enthusiasm,improve the safety attitude and safety consciousness,promote the participation degree of safety of their workers,make strong safety consciousness affect them,truly the overall level of construction enterprises peasant workers to enhance safety consciousness.(3)Construction enterprises should adjust the safety level of working environment.Enterprises should adjust the safety level of the work environment,to ensure that the physical environment will not cause physiological and psychological discomfort of migrant workers,will not cause related occupational diseases.At the same time,it is necessary to improve safety climate and safety consciousness of migrant workers,to promote the safety behavior of migrant workers,to improve the overall safety performance of enterprises,and to improve the safety management system and process of the construction industry.
