Research On The Relationship Between Safety Leadership And Safety Performance At Different Levels

With the development of safety science,safety leadership has gradually got the attention of the enterprise managers and researchers.Many studies have proved the importanc of safety leadership.But scholars both at home and abroad have been focused on the relationship between safety leadership and employee behavior,little attention to the overall safety performance of the enterprise.And researchs on safety leadership just refer to a single management level which is not comprehensive enough.Therefore,it is very important to explore the relationship between safety leadership of different levels and the overall safety performance.This article adopts the SEM(Structural Equation Modeling)method to find the direct and indirect relationship between the multi-level managers' safety leadership and safety performance.Then do verification analysis of the models and assumptions,so as to provide the theoretical basis to the construction of safety leadership.The essay has finished the following three aspects:1.Through the literature review,determine two levels: the high-level managers and first-line managers.And set up six dimensions of the two levels' safety leadership respectively.Construct two models of direct relationship between safety leadership and safety performance in different levels.Five models of the relationship between six dimensions of safety leadership and three dimensions of safety performance.2.On the basis of available questionnaires refer to safety leadership,safety climate and safety performance,design a set of suitable questionnaire for the essay.After two rounds practical research,exploratory and confirmatory analysis are conducted.3.According to the recovery data,using SPSS and Amos software,adopting the method of PA-LV and PA-OV path analysis,packaging analysis,Bootstrapping and PRODCLIN2,to fit and verify the proposed hypothesis and models.Both the high-level and first-line safety leadership have a positive influence on the safety performance.The safety climate and first-line safety leadership have a mediating effect between high-level leadership and the safety performance.And the effect of " first-line safety leadership" is greater than the " safety climate ".
