Private bank is the inevitable outcome of the mature market economy and an integral part of the modern financial system.With the development of economy,the demand for private bank is significantly enhanced-not only do the high net worth people urgently need a series of financial services provided by private banks,but also commercial banks need to develop private banking business for the optimization of business structure and income structure.In view of the trend of domestic private banks operation,although amount of customers and the asset scale have made great strides in the first decade,it exposed a lot of problems in terms of customer segmentation,product service,talent cultivation and profitability.This paper chooses the initial link of private bank operation-customer segmentation-as the research entry point,and the optimization and perfection of private banking customer segmentation plan of the A bank as the main line of the case study.It will fully explain,analyze and evaluate the optimization management of A bank private bank customer segmentation scheme,as well as providing some useful suggestions for the healthy development and growth of the domestic private banks from the perspective of customer segmentation.This paper proposed the customer segmentation program for private banks through the use of literature analysis,comparative analysis,questionnaire research,high-end interviews and other research methods.Through the analysis of current status and defects of A bank customer segmentation program,the author put forward two feasible optimization ideas and propose the final systematic optimization solution based on the analysis of the advantages and disadvantages of two different optimization ideas.According to the above logical ideas,this paper is divided into the following chaptersChapter 1: Introduction.This part is the basis of the full text,which elaborates the background,purpose and significance of the research,combs the domestic and foreign research on the private bank and its business,establishes the structure and the research method of the article,and summarizes the possible innovation and the insufficiency.Chapter 2: The Development of Global Private Banks and the Main Criteria for Customer Segmentation.This chapter provides theoretical support for the study of the full text,including the origin and development of private banks,the current status of private banks and their clients,and focuses on the main criteria for the breakdown of global private banking customer segmentation specifically.Chapter 3: Current Status and Problems of Private Banking Customer Segmentation of A bank.This chapter mainly introduces the basic criteria of the segmentation of Chinese-funded private bank customers at current stage,and introduces the existing scheme and problems of A bank private bank customer segmentation,then provides research ideas for analysis of the optimization management of customer segmentation program in the next chapter based on analyzing the current situation and the problem.Chapter 4: Optimization Management Strategy for Private Banking Customer Segmentation of A bank.According to the problems of A bank customer segmentation,it forms the optimization solution A bank private bank integrated customer segmentation scheme,and propose two versions of customer segmentation optimization schemes,that is presetting optimization scheme and the final optimization scheme.Based on the analysis of the advantages and disadvantages of two different optimization ideas,it proposes a systematic optimization solution,which is the final optimization scheme described in the paper.The scheme is mainly subdividing the customer in accordance with the customers' behaviors,in the processing of the operation,with the help of series of professional questions and answers,first determining the customers' investment decision-making preferences,accordingly dividing the customers into three types: self-dominant,carte blanche and investment portfolio;and then processing further subdivision of high net worth customers focusing on two dimensions: risk tolerance and specificity requirements.Chapter 5: Analysis on the Effectiveness of the Implementation of the Bank's Private Bank Customer Segmentation Optimization Program.It evaluates the implementation of the customer optimization program through the feedback of the customer manager's work feedback,the customer satisfaction sample survey and the strategy change of the competitor,then delivery the feedback of the effect of optimization program produced by the implementation.Conclusion.It summarizes the optimization and improvement of customer segmentation.
