Chinese economy is undergoing the adjustment and transformation in industries and technological advancement in China's New Normal and globalization.To survive,China's banks should speed up their transformations.In this paper,the author takes Chengdu subbranch X of China Construction Bank as an example,carefully studies the transition path of its business mode,and through detailed analysis provides some possible suggestions on the transformation of business modes in state-owned commercial banks in China.Firstly,the paper explains the background information,the theme,the method,the highlights and the shortcomings of the paper.Secondly,the paper summarizes the relevant theories on banking modes.Based on the recent development of the respective theories,the author analyzes the empirical applications of those theories in bank transformation.The author also studies the histories and present situations of the banking modes domestic and abroad,and,through comparisons,draws lessons from western banking systems.Thirdly,the paper poses a diagnosis of the bank in question,specifying the problems based on its history and present situation.There are mainly problems in four aspects,namely,in ideas,institutions,human resources and products & services.The influencing factors are respectively in four levels,that of macro-economy,industry,market and regions.Shortly followed and the last are the suggested solutions to those problems.For problems in ideas,the author proposes the methods of training and education to help the employees to adopt refreshed ideas.For problems in institutions,it is the improvement in leadership,decision mechanism and incentive mechanism.For problems in human resources,the paper argues that its perfection lies in the betterment of human resources management-responsible work assignment,sound mobile mechanism in workers.For problems in products & services,the author suggests that the establishment of creative consciousness and learning spirits in all the employees.
