Improvement Of Purchasing Transportation Cost In Company K Based On Six-Sigma

With process of economic globalization accelerating,industrial structure and technologies are consistently improving,and the business environment the company is facing also in a constantly changing process.To survive and develop,the company must set up self-tailored competitive strategy in line with their own production status;maintain cost leadership and competitive advantage.The problem the companies facing is how to control and reduce the operation cost,logistics transportation from the supply chain system as a very important part in the operation cost,to reduce it can help the company to save the financing cost and increase market competitiveness to achieve the target gross margin.In this thesis,I used the 6sigma tools with K Company as a study example,based on its logistics transportation status to find out the problems which impact the cost most.Use DMAIC to establish the transportation cost improvement model,define the target,measure the transportation cost data in the purchasing process,analysis the problems that found in the transportation cost management,improve the control level of the transportation cost and keep continues improvement to control the improvement points to achieve the cost improvement purpose.
