The Study On Optimizing Business Process Of YCG Logistics Corporation Based On DMAIC

The business process refinement can be a breakthrough for logistics industry. With China’s accession to the WTO, the logistic companies in China have gained unprecedented opportunities, and have been facing brutal competition as well. Traditional business processes have been unable to meet the requirement of the market. Therefore, business process optimization becomes particularly necessary logistics companies. Although explorations are not uncommon in practice, academic studies on process optimization of logistics companies are less common. In especial, studies in the Six Sigma business process management are rare.The research is focused on business process optimization of YCG logistic company. Based on business process optimization theory and Six Sigma theory, the research discussed the operational drawbacks of the company’s operational process. Relying on the operational data in the past2years, the research analyzed the communication effectiveness, responding rapidity and injury problems in the operational process. Practical resolutions to improve the company’s business process are the objective of the research.The research intends to provide new management ideas for YCG Company. Optimization of the operational process, grounded on a combination of theory and practice, would give the company new competitive edge in global competition. The research also has certain reference value to domestic logistic companies.
