With the rapid development of knowledge economy,the competition between enterprises has gradually changed from the original product competition and market competition to talent.Whether to match the staff with the work is the key to high performance.Predictive power of personality traits on job performance has been the focus of organizational behavior.In order to enrich study of personality traits and job performance,this paper shows that the effect path of employee personality on job performance through further empirical research,based on the former research on the relationship between personality traits and job performance,and for the first time introduces transformational leadership as a regulated variable to investigate relationship between the employee personality traits and work performance.This paper selects knowledge workers as the research object and uses NEO-PI-R as a personality trait questionnaire on the review and summary of the relevant theory of personality,transformational leadership and job performance to use structural equation model and hierarchical regression analysis to verify the effect of personality and transformational leadership on job performance and the regulation of transformational eadership on the relationship between employee personality traits and job performance,with SPSS 17.0 and AMOS21.0 software.The results show that the demographic variables work experience have significant positive effect on job performance;different dimensions of personality on job performance has a positive impact,including extroversion,agreeableness,conscientiousness and openness has significant positive effect on job performance;emotional stability has a positive effect but not significant;transformational leadership has a significant positive effect on job performance;transformational leadership moderates effect of extraversion,conscientiousness,emotional stability and openness to the work performance significantly.Based on the analysis of the research results,the paper provides specific measures and suggestions for enterprises to improve work performance of the knowledge staff,finally draws the conclusion of the research,and points out the shortcomings of this study and future research directions.
