With more and more death from overwork of white-collar workers especially the employees in IT industry in the workplace reported died of overwork,the pressure of employees is drawing widespread concern.With the development of information society,technology is updated frequently,and the competitive advantage of Internet business lies mainly in its knowledge-based employees.The technology-intensive and knowledge-intensive features of this industry leave employees in a high rhythm,high load and high pressure environment.Research shows that too much pressure of the staff not only leads to Physical fatigue,inattention,depression and overwork death but also causes high turnover rate,absenteeism,job burnout,and many other adverse consequences which slowing down the pace of development of the organization.Job involvement is a heated field which Organizational Behavior,Occupation Health Psychology and Positive Psychology are concentrating on together.It reflects that the positive state of workers’ emotion and behavior,how to make the employee keep in a good state both in mind and action,how to improve the job involvement level of the staff both from the organizational and individual aspects,how to combine the different working pressure environment in the human resource management practice to carry on the individual promotion differently in the staff’s job involvement is a hot spot which the scholar and the enterprise should pay more attention to.Based on the domestic and foreign researches,this article supplements the research in this field with the self-efficacy as the variable of adjustment by making a questionnaire,doing practical research and exploring the relationship between the working pressure of the knowledge-based workers and the job involvement of the workers in the Internet enterprises.The research found that:(1)there was a significant negative correlation between job stress and job involvement;(2)self-efficacy played a positive role in the relationship between job stress and job involvement;(3)different personality of employees can lead to differences in perceive of work stress,levels of job involvement and self-efficacy.According to the conclusion of the study,this paper will put forward some suggestions for the managers of the enterprise,and points out the limitations of this study,hoping to provide some reference for the follow-up research and practice.
