Tourism development can give the tourism destination motivation,but it brings hidden troubles to the local economy,social culture and the environment.Residents as one of the important subjects of tourism development,their positive perception contributes to tourism development,but their negative perception hinders local tourism development,so it is important to explore residents' perceptions on tourism impacts.This study takes the residents of Wulong city,fairy town and Shuanghe town as the research object,to explore the similarities and differences of residents' perception of tourism economy,environment,social culture,satisfaction and tourism participation in different areas of Wulong.It has an important guiding role in the development of Wulong tourism,and has practical guidance for the government policies and tourism enterprise management,residents and tourists,developers and so on,and promote the sustainable development of Wulong tourism.This study contains the following parts:The first Part: Introduction.This part mainly elaborates the research background,literature review,research significance,research content,research methods and technical route of this research.The second part: the theoretical basis and the relevant concepts.This part summarizes the resort Life Cycle theory,social exchange theory,Doxey stimulation index theory,Maslow demand hierarchy theory.Define the concept of perception,tourism impact,tourism urbanization,and rural tourism.The third part: research design.First,this part introduces the Wulong country,fairy town,Shuanghe town(such as geographical location,population statistics,tourism resources).Then,the design of the questionnaire,including the selection of measurement scales,questionnaire preparation,data acquisition and the introduction of the data analysis methods.The fourth part,analysis of results.Through the combination of qualitative and quantitative methods,primarily analyzes the investigation data in Statistical way and shows the result of descriptive analysis about variables,uses the SPSS software for datareliability test,comparison mean,combined with the depth of interviews,summed up the survey results.The fifth part,the research conclusion and the suggestion.The main conclusions are: First,the three cities residents has a strong positive perception on the economic,environmental,social-cultural impact of tourism development.Second,the differences of residents' perception are reflected in:Urban area of Wulong residents negative perception: the rise in prices,rising cost of living,widening gap between rich and poor,traffic jam,medical conditions have not been significantly improved;The negative perception of the fairy town residents mainly include: the rise in prices,widening gap between rich and poor,traffic jam,high medical costs,the theft of individual tourists,the unfair distribution of tourism income,the government's unfair treatment;The shuanghe town residents support the development of tourism and have a good prospect for it,and they have not yet dissatisfied with it.Third,in the early stages of tourism development,more residents can operate their own tourism-related industries(such as catering,accommodation,etc.);In the mature stage of tourism development,due to the injection of foreign capital,the tourism infrastructure is more perfect,the threshold of residents' self-management is higher,only some of the rich and intelligent residents can participate in tourism development management;The residents of the tourist area can not participate in the decision making of tourism development.According to the conclusions of the study,to propose improvements to the government,tourism enterprises,tourists,residents and indicate the direction of future research in depth.The sixth part: the shortcomings of this study,innovation and outlook.
