An Empirical Study On The Relationship Between Dynamic Capabilities,Enterprise Potential And Enterprise Innovation Performance

At present,China is in the period of rapid development of economic transition and industrial upgrading,and the rate of technological innovation and product iteration caused by innovation are becoming more and more fast.Enterprises are facing with a more complex and variable competitive environment.At the same time,technological innovation has brought the impact on the innovation mode of enterprises in such environment.The traditional linear innovation model which relies on their own resources endowment and ability cannot be enough to support the long-term survival and development of enterprises.How to increase the innovation output and improve the innovation performance in the current highly uncertain dynamic environment,so as to obtain and maintain the long-term competitive advantage,has become the focus of academic research and enterprise practice.In order to help enterprises to explore new survival environment,dynamic capability theory based on Resource-based View(RBV)and competence theory,the concept of enterprise potential based on innovation network and potential theory have been put forward.Under the background of innovation network,the accumulation of resources and capabilities by enterprises dynamic capabilities of can help enterprises to adapt to the competition and decision-making in the visual threshold of dynamic network,to enhance enterprise potential from the space,and then play a role on the enterprise innovation,in order to continuously promote enterprise to improve innovation speed and performance.On the basis of relevant theories and existing researches,this paper integrates dynamic capabilities,firm potential and innovation performance into the same theoretical framework.Then based on the questionnaire survey and data statistics,this paper studies the relationship among the three factors,and explores the mechanism of the role of the enterprise potential factors in the relationship between dynamic capabilities and innovation performance.The main contents of this paper are as follows:(1)Combing the Resource-based View and ability theory,Dynamic Capabilities,innovation network and potential theory and other related theories of enterprise innovation and strategic management.On this basis,the paper defines the concept and dimensions of Dynamic Capabilities and Enterprise Potential.(2)Constructing an integrated model including Dynamic Capability,Enterprise Potential and Innovation Performance.Based on the previous theoretical basis and the existing literature,this paper puts forward the theoretical hypothesis of the study,and further designs the measurement scale from the research questions.Effective data were obtained through questionnaire survey.(3)The statistical results verify the hypothesized relationships between Dynamic Capabilities,Enterprise Potential and Innovation Performance: The direct effect of Dynamic Capabilities and Enterprise Potential on innovation performance,and the mediating effect hypothesis and moderating effect hypothesis of the relationship between firm potential and “Dynamic Capability-Innovation Performance”.The results of theoretical and empirical studies show that Dynamic Capability and its second-order dimensions,including resource acquisition and utilization,resource integration and reconstruction,opportunity perception and recognition and organizational learning and creation,have a direct and significant effect on promoting the innovation performance of enterprise,while the Enterprise Potential factors,including decision making,mutation perception and knowledge management,play an intermediary role in the relationship of "Dynamic Capability-Innovation Performance".The position centrality and network relationship tightness would have a positive adjustment to the positive effect of the Dynamic Capability on the innovation performance of the enterprise.The research process and conclusions not only enrich the theoretical system of enterprise innovation and strategic management,but also provide a scientific basis for enterprises to carry out targeted innovative practice activities.
