Research On The Evaluation And Effect Factors Of Convergence Between The Equipment Manufacturing Industry And Producer Services In Shanxi Province

There is a natural relationship between the equipment manufacturing industry and the producer services.As a midterm-input industry,producer services can not only reduce the production and transaction costs of the equipment manufacturing industry but also facilitate the reform and upgrading of the industry via providing the latest technology,knowledge,marketing,transportation and product assurance.Meanwhile,the increasing demands of the equipment manufacturing can stimulate producer services to focus on the innovation of technology and service in order to serve better for equipment manufacturing.Hence,the industry convergence between the equipment manufacturing industry and producer services can promote the transformation and upgrading of the equipment manufacturing industry,improve the development level of the producer services,and bring more economic and social benefits to consumers at the same time.At present,some theory researches have been done,which mainly focused on the development theory of the convergence between the two major industries,the basic model of convergence and the convergence method,etc.In spite that the contents and effect factors were both involved,all these works almost stopped at the qualitative analysis instead of focusing on the industry convergence degree and effect mechanism in a district.Thus,the convergence between the equipment manufacturing industry and producer services of Shaanxi province was investigated in the two following aspects in this work: Firstly,based on the prior research,the association relationship between the two industries was analyzed using the influence and induction coefficient of the input-output table.The industry convergence level of the two industries in Shaanxi was evaluated via Gray Correlation Degree Analysis.The problems during industry convergence were analyzed.Secondly,based on the problems of industrial convergence,then this thesis established the index system of the factors of influencing industry alignment.The effect factors of industry convergence were divided into three major factors according to the Principal Component Analysis: the basic factor,the conditional factor and the environmental factor.Multiple Linear Regression was utilized to analyze the different effects of the three factors on industry convergence in Shaanxi.The results listed as following:(1)The basic factor,the conditional factor and the environmental factor facilitated the industry convergence strongly.(2)The effect of basic factor(thetechnical innovation level of industry,the input in research and development funds,the reserve of talents)on industry convergence level was higher than that of the conditional factor(the demand scale of the market,the government policy).Hence,it was the shortage of the basic factor that stifled the convergence between equipment manufacturing industry and producer services.Based on the prior analysis in this work,following suggestions for industry convergence in Shaanxi can be given out:(1)Improving the innovation in key techniques.(2)Increasing the input in research and development funds.(3)Perfecting the government policies and systems in industry convergence and development of industries.
