Since the establishment of China's commercial banks, they constantly adapt to external changes, accelerate the strategic transformation, experienced a decade of rapid growth. But in the past two years, the pace of China's interest rates market-oriented speed up, the government liberalized the interest rate controls, market competition is more intense, combined with the weak market environment, bad credit exposure.Baotou Branch of China Construction Bank, as one of the four state-owned regional banks, also failed to survive in the economic tide, the business indicators decline. Quality of bank assets dropped significantly, resulting in a serious decline in profits. Fortunately, other competitors living environment is not very good. So the one who can be first to complete the transition in harsh environments as soon as possible, will be able in the future to stay ahead of the competition, cumulating advantages, gainning more market share and customers. The successful transformation of the network will have a significant impact on the future development of CCB Baotou Branch.Based on a combination of theory and practice, this paper uses the standard research and case study method, and strategic analysis tool. By analysising internal and external environmental, assessing its own resources and capabilities, we conclude opportunities and threats, the advantages and disadvantages of Baotou Branch. Then though SWOT analysis, we can conclude that the Baotou Branch of the CCB's network transformation strategy of positioning, and then come to the focus of the transition strategy. We establish corresponding initiatives to ensure the implementation of the strategy. I hope I can help the restructuring and development of CCB Baotou Branch to solve practical problems, enhance customer satisfaction and achieve the network to maximize the economic benefits, a more clear positioning of outlets for the future development of a good foundation.
