Laos Family Farms Development Problem Research

Laos five years of economic and social development plan(2011-2015)points out that Laos should adopt the appropriate technology,skills and create favorable conditions to reduce the poverty status of the people in Laos in 2015.By 2020,making Laos get rid of poverty from a less developed country.Laos should ensure sustained,safe,peaceful and stable growth of the national economy and at least 8%of the annual GDP growth rate and ＄1700 of per capita GDP.Through protecting,recovering,and increasing the area of the domestic forest,making Laos becoming a green country.Laos agricultural resources are relatively abundant,the ecological environment and geographical advantage resources such as soil,climate,biology,rivers,can be used sustainably.There are many countries around Laos,providing opportunities for the development of the agricultural market and the development of the international exchange platform in Laos.Laos itself is also a network of communications around the country.While most Laos farmers don’t know how to use their land effectively in their lives.And there are various internal and external factors that affect the development of agriculture,this requires further research.Farm families in the developing countries is a new form of economic organization,and the development direction of modern agriculture,playing an important role in promoting the optimization in the allocation of land resources,stimulating farmers production enthusiasm,releasing the potential of agricultural development.This paper mainly studies the development of the Laos family farm,using methods of literature analysis,questionnaire investigation,and theory with practice.Through the study of related data and practical research,studying the Laos family farm development status and the factors affecting the development of the family farm.These factors include land related systems,climate and natural disasters,farmers’ structure,farm infrastructure,production management level,financial credit service system,family farm policy.Then writing a questionnaire based on these factors,investigating on the family farm in Donthat Village,analyzing the main factors affecting the development of family farms,exploring the existing problems and reasons.These problems include technical,financial,land,and sales problems.Finally,according to the results of the questionnaire analysis and the experience of other countries in the development of family farms,proposing effective and feasible suggestions for the development of the Laos family farm.These suggestions include support of the rural education,the increase of rural financial support,and improving the social service system.
