Research On Lean Six-sigma Application In LS Company

In 21 st century, electronics manufacturing industry is facing critical competitions and challenges, such as: increased labor cost and increased raw material cost, more functional requests are expected on product design that caused more difficulties on manufacturing process too. These issues are becoming the biggest resistance for enterprise development. Lean production decreased the cost by eliminating wastes. Six sigma improves product quality by dismissing process variation. Theoretically, it could get the maximum profit and minimum cost by taking leverage of integrating Lean production and Six Sigma, then the manufacturing company gets competitive advantages to compete in the marking.This thesis firstly introduces the development trends of electric manufacturing industry and typically explains the current situation of China electric manufacturing industry. Secondly, it introduces Lean production and six sigma management concepts, describes the importance and the necessity of integrating Lean production and six sigma. Thirdly, this thesis takes one of the common actual operation problems as a case study project of implementing lean production and six sigma. During the project, team fully analyzed the lean and six sigma management solution, adopted numerous of Lean and Six Sigma methods and tools. Finally, it proves Lean and Six Sigma management mode can address the root cause correctly, and make solution correctly. The success of implementing the Lean and Six Sigma improves lots of key performance indicators, includes product quality, manufacturing process and so on. All these factors make the manufacturing companies could continue to survive in the highly competitive industry environment and solid their market standing.
