"Liangyou" Pictorial News Report On Current Affairs (1926-1945)

On February 15 th,1926,Liangyou Pictorial was founded in Shanghai city.It was called the first large-scale modern comprehensive pictorial in the history of Chinese modern journalism.The founder was Wu Liande,a person from Taishan County in Guangdong,and ceased publication on October 10,1945.,Illustrated and published more than 20 sets,plus two additional editions,a total of 174 issues.According to relevant statistics,the circulation of the “Best Friends” pictorial has reached a maximum of 40,000 copies,spread throughout the country and abroad,and has a wide range of impacts.It has a large number of readers at home and abroad and is one of the most influential journals in China in the 20 th century.This article selects the Liangyou Pictorial as the object of study,uses current news reports as the entry point for the study of the thesis,and supports journalistic theories,communication studies,history,sociology,and other academic theories as research theories.From social environment to practical operation,from macroscopic to microscopic analysis,we explore the reasons for its prevalence of success at home and abroad.The Liangyou pictorial was born in the era when the culture began to spread,the emergence of readers,the rapid development of technology,and the development of “Friends”,and the publication of a large number of news pictures was an important means of attracting audiences.The five chief editors painstakingly contributed to the continuous development of pictorial development.Strength,the "Best Friends" pictorial content covers all social strata,concerned about the poor,concern about the fate of the country,reflecting the changes in social history at that time,using text and pictures to record the development of society and the rejuvenation of the nation.
