TAYA-PICTORIAL NEWS. MOUKDEM was published every5days in Shenyang from1927, Shen Shuliao as the president of the pictorial office and Chen Jioaying as the editor-in-chief. It recorded the social issues all over China from1927to1931, particularly about northeast China and Beijing. This pictorial published a lot of news photographs, combined with written reports, it can lead the contemporary reader directly to experience the social fragments of the Period of the Repbulic of China. Different from the official history books, pictorial can record more details of social politics, military, culture, economy, people’s livelihood etc. in a balanced and close way.In this study, I do my research about TAYA-PICTORIAL NEWS. MOUKDEM. using the method of document analysis and content analysis, under the framework of qualitative research and combined with the information complement and demonstration of quantitative research. After reading and summarizing the content of these147pictorials, I analysis the field of production, constitution and communication of the image news in it and try to restore the publishing and operating conditions and the image news features of it.At the same time, from the perspective of the social and cultural memory, the study analysis the basis, constitute and function of social memory under a specific period of time and social context which was participated with media, based on the news photographs of TAYA-PICTORIAL NEWS. MOUKDEM. Meanwhile, the study will think what memory field is existed between historical pictorial and cultural memory of people today.
