Oceanic data is various in kinds and source with strong spatial and temporal correlation and temporal and spatial dynamics.With the continuous development of science and technology,the ways of marine data acquisition and storage continue to increase and the amount of data grows at the speed of geometric progression continuously.It is good to avoid the waste of data resources caused by the analysis and observation of massive data directly for using of visualization.At present,the ocean data visualization platform is mostly based on the C/S structure,but there are some problems that the development and maintenance of structure have high consumption in C/S structure.and ocean data visualization platform with C/S structure also have certain requirements for users,which seriously restrict the client user groups.There are some web type visualization platforms designed with B/S structure as well,but most of these types of visualization platforms have single direct function,and do not have better data visualization analysis function.In this paper,the concept of data visualization is summed up from one dimension,two dimension and multidimensional,and the existing methods of visualization of various types of ocean data are presented.This paper selects marine data from ECMWF(European Centre for Medium-Range Weather Forecasts)website and actual marine data,and divides the ocean data into vector,scalar and multivariate data types.We select CTD data and effective wave height data from scalar data,select sea surface wind field data from vector data,select ADCP data from multivariable data and acoustic tomography data.After the analysis of the existing means of common understanding and selection of data visualization methods,according to the characteristics of the scalar data only numerical size choice point line map and color method two kinds of visualization methods,according to the method of visualization method of marker selection direction characteristic vector data,and the number of variables according to the characteristics of both scalar data and vector data visualization method,so can use two kinds of data.This paper designs a data visualization platform based on the concept of B/S visualization platform,so as to realize the visualization of marine data and the sharing of marine data resources.The main body of the data platform uses the Java language to design and write the main code to complete the connection between the various functional layers and the functions of each module.But due to the limitation of the Java language in the mathematical aspects,therefore,in the aspect of data processing,according to the previous data visualization method,using MATLAB to realize the visualization of marine data,then the implementation of the MATLAB program of data processing module,realize the visualization function of marine data.After summarizing the existing methods of Java and MATLAB mixed,choose according to the actual situation and introduces the COM Builder method,the successful implementation of the main visualization platform and MATLAB data processing module assembly.Finally,the realization process of the function of each module is expounded,and the data visualization platform is set up.This paper uses the actual ocean data to the design platform to verify the reliability and practicability of the platform.The practice shows that the platform can realize the visualization of ocean data and achieve the purpose of visualization and analysis of marine data.
