The Study Of Jianyang Bookshop In The Middle Of The Ming Dynasty

Jianyang was one of important centers of book printing in Ming dynasty,where business of book printing was flourished on a large scale,number and scope,leading to prosperity of publishing industry of Ming dynasty.The article is applying methods of Typology,Iconology and Philology to conduct the research on bookshops' printing in the region of Jianyang,Fujian in the mid-Ming dynasty period.Firstly,on the basis of features of block-printed editions from Song and Yuan dynasties to now,a conclusion that bookshops' block-printed editions of Jianyang of Ming have inherited and developed traditions of Song and Yuan dynasties could be drew by means of existing carving bookshops in the region of Jianyang.On premises of periodization of mid-Ming era and analyzing of distribution areas of bookshops in Jianyang,Fujian,the article provides a general overview of bookshops in Jianyang,Fujian after studying scopes and objects are defined,and classifies block-printed editions of this period intuitively in a chronological sequence.Next,according to differences of last names of different bookshops of book printing in the mid-Ming dynasty,the article studies origins and carved books with publicly available imaging data,summarizes features of bookshops' printing in Jianyang of mid-Ming dynasty and tries to explore where effects of block-printed editions are,after combining with an analysis of thriving factors of bookshops' block-printed editions of Jianyang during mid-Ming period.
