Research On Xixi Xuanhua's Office Monthly (1935—1937)

In February 1935,the central government established the Xi Chui Xuan Hua Shi Office in Alashan for firming the western area.Under the special attention of the ninth PanChen Lama Master,the monthly periodical of Xi Chui Xuan Hua Shi Office started its publication in May 1935.Since the monthly periodical of office published,the periodical disseminate the ideology of central government,and motivate the loyalty of Mongolia and Tibetan.From 1935 to 1937,the periodical published seven books in total.The core of periodical is advocate the central political situation,and report the conditions of frontier region.In order to achieve the goal of guidance better,the monthly periodical of Xi Chui Xuan Hua Shi Office set fourteen parts for showing the general situation of frontier region in the round.The issue of periodical disseminate the relevant policy of the central government to some extent,communicate the relationship of Tibet,and make contribution to national unity and strengthen the national defence.The monthly periodical contains abundant articles of Tibetan cultural,geography,history,society,religion,economy and so on,these articles become the important information of studying on frontier problems in the republic period,the Sino-Tibetan relations,and spread the culture of Mongolian and Tibetan.This paper focus on the monthly periodical of Xi Chui Xuan Hua Shi Office,using the method of literature research for analyzing deeply,and try best to showing the important academic value and social influence.This paper consist of introduction,main body and peroration.In chapter one,introduced the process of conferring the Xi Chui Xuan Hua Shi of ninth PanChen Lama,the process of establishing the Xi Chui Xuan Hua Shi Office,and introduced the organization structure,function value,dissolve of office in detail.Chapter two is the most important part in this paper,in this chapter,it detailed introduced the fourteen parts of periodical,especially focus on the features,treatises,and photos and so on,try best to showing the Tibetan situation in the eyes of periodical.In addition,paper also introduced the authors,readers,the number of articles,and the relationship of the monthly periodical of Tibet Panchen in Beijing Office.In chapter three,introduced the ninth Panchen Master's five lectures on the way to Tibet,and several Tibetan articles,especially analyzed the content and value of these Tibetan articles.In chapter four,introduced the social influence and academic value of periodical during 1935 to 1937,in the end,discussed the deficiencies of the monthly periodical of Xi Chui Xuan Hua Shi Office.
