The Chinese media market has come into being no matter whether conscious or unconscious. As one of the assorted medias, periodical was addition to its form, diverse content, the potenal of periodical depends on its brand-forging and brand-managing, brand-forging lies on the plot of the brand, plot is outcome of the competition, and it is also the imperatire of that. The current media industry badly needs the good-at-thinking brain, thus is the violent competition enabling us to calmly analyse our own current status, and the rivals' advantage and disadvantage, making use of the others' advantage to compensate our disadvantage, we could break through easily. At home there are many succeful periodial brands, such as "Redders", "Family", "Intimate" and so forth. The strategic plot plays a vital pole in their success.Based on the knowledge and comprension of the periodical, this paper induces and analyses the periodical property, the characteristic of the periodical market, then emphasize on how to plot the brands of the periodical.This paper is divided into two parts.First part, discuss the features of periodical, classification of periodical and the market of periodical, making a detailed survey of the current periodical market, and point out the trent of development of the periodical market.Second part, explove the motif of plotting the periodical brand, including recognizition of the periodical plot, the content of plot, the procedure of plot, and the Detailed measure of plot.
